1) The 67th National Film Awards - 2019 were announced. 

👉Malayalam movie Marakkar Arabikkadilinte Simham directed by Priyadarshan has won the Best Feature Film Award. 

👉Kangana Ranaut has won Best Actress award for her movies Manikarnika -The Queen of Jhansi and Panga.

👉Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan has won best Direction Award for Hindi film Bahattar Hoorain.

👉 Actor Manoj Bajpayee has won best Actor award for Hindi movie Bhonsle and Dhanush got the award for Tamil Movie Asuran.

👉The National Film Awards is the most prominent film award ceremony in India. Established in 1954, it has been administered, along with the International Film Festival of India and the Indian Panorama, by the Indian government's Directorate of Film Festivals since 1973.

2) The Lok Sabha cleared the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2021, which seeks to give more powers to the Lieutenant Governor in matters related to national capital’s governance.

👉 The bill was introduced by the central government in the Lower House of Parliament on March 15.

3) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has set up a five-member Standing External Advisory Committee for the purpose of evaluating applications for Universal Banks as well as Small Finance Banks. 

👉The panel will be headed by former RBI Deputy Governor Shyamala Gopinath.

4) National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) brings 80 plus medicines under Price Regulation. National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) NPPA fixes the price of 81 medicines including off-patent anti-diabetic drugs allowing due benefits of patent expiry to the patients.

8) The IIT-Bombay has emerged as the best institutes in the country, as per the global ranking index. 

👉The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has cut into the elite group of top 50 engineering colleges of the world by securing 49th rank, globally. IIT-B is closely followed by IIT-Delhi at 54th spot.

9) Andhra Pradesh government has now decided to set up "India's first government-run ambulance network" for animals.

15) Governments of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh signed a memorandum of agreement with the Union Jal Shakti Ministry to implement the Ken-Betwa river interlinking project.

👉Ken-Betwa river linking will help resolve the water scarcity and bring prosperity in this region.

👉Project involves the transfer of surplus water from the Ken river in Panna district in Madhya Pradesh to Betwa river in Uttar Pradesh.
