1) Hindi writer, Prof.  Sharad Pagare will be honored with the prestigious Vyas Samman - 2020. He will be awarded the 31st Vyas Samman for his novel "Patliputra Ki Samragi".  
👉 The Vyas Samman, started in 1991, is given by the KK Birla Foundation for outstanding literary work in Hindi written by an Indian citizen published during the last 10 years.  It carries a prize of four lakh rupees along with a citation and plaque.

2) Nasa's Mars rover Curiosity has shared a glimpse of the red planet's atmosphere. The video, made up of eight images taken over the span of five minutes on shows clouds drifting in the Mars sky.

3) Russia recently successfully launched 38 satellites from 18 countries.  The 38 satellites were from 18 countries, including South Korea, Japan, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Italy and Brazil.
◾️One of these satellites, named 'Challenge-1', was the first satellite made entirely in Tunisia by the Telnet telecommunications group.

4) The Asia's largest tulip garden was thrown open  in Srinagar, with around 4,000 visitors enjoying the bloom of the 25% of the 15 lakh flowers planted over 30 hectares located at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range.
👉Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip garden, previously Model Floriculture Center, is a tulip garden in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is the largest tulip garden in Asia spread over an area of about 30 ha. It is situated on the foothills of Zabarwan Range with an overview of Dal Lake.

7) Chhattisgarh has ranked first in the country in terms of providing employment under MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act).
👉As per an official release from the state government, in the current financial year 2020-21, employment of 16,06,84,000 man-days has been created so far, against the target of creating 15 crore man-days of employment, as sanctioned by the central government.

8) Mountaineers Rohtash Khileri and Anu Yadav set the record for 24 hours on Kilimanjaro, the highest peak of the continent of Africa.
👉Mountaineer Rohtash Khileri is a resident of Malapur village in Hisar and mountaineer Anu Yadav hails from Buwan village in Fatehabad.  Significantly, Rohtash Khileri has also conquered Mount Everest.

9) India ranked 40 among 53 global economies on the latest annual edition of the International Intellectual Property (IP) Index released.
 
👉The Index is Released annually by the US Chamber of Commerce Global Innovation Policy Centre (GIPC), the Index evaluates Intellectual Property rights in 53 global economies -- from patent and copyright policies to commercialisation of IP assets and ratification of international treaties.

11) The book "Bringing Governments and People Closer" A development practitioner's prescription was launched through virtual mode by the Vice President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu.

12) A book on the life and times of bureaucrat-turned-politician Manohar Parrikar, who served as the defence minister and Goa chief minister.

👉The book titled 'An Extraordinary Life: A biography of Manohar Parrikar' is written by veteran journalists Sadguru Patil and Mayabhushan Nagvenkar.

13) GoDaddy has launched a new integrated marketing campaign with MS Dhoni - its current brand ambassador in India, to encourage small local businesses in the country to create an online presence for their business.

14) An engineering project billed as the world's first ship tunnel is slated for construction in Norway. The tunnel will run underneath the mountains in Norway's Stadhavet peninsula. It will measure 1,700 metres long, 37 metres high and 26.5 metres wide when complete.

15) a commemorative postage stamp on ‘100 years of first visit of Mahatma Gandhi to Odisha’ was released by Union Minister Sanjay Dhotre at the ashram.
👉A host of programmes marked the centennial anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s first visit to Odisha in Millennium city.

👉Gandhi had visited Odisha for the first time 100 years back, in 1921, and addressed a massive public meeting as part of his non-cooperation movement.

16) The Indian Coast Guard added one more offshore patrol vessel to its fleet. 
👉Chief of defence staff General Bipin Rawat commissioned the vessel at a function at Chennai port. This is sixth in the series of seven OPVs designed and built by Larsen & Toubro Ltd at Kattupalli.
