AFCAT I 2018 Exam Overview :

AFCAT (I) 2018 Notification has been released on 12th December 2017 for AFCAT Feb Exam. AFCAT 2018 Application Form online submission has been started from 26th December 2017. AFCAT 1 2018 Application Form submission has been closed on 23rd January 2018, so a huge number of candidates applied online on or before the last date. AFCAT 1 2018 examination is set to be held on 25th February by the Indian Air Force examination department. This is a national level examination which is organized by the Indian Air Force.
Latest Updates: AFCAT 1 2018 Exam date has been released and it is going to be held on 25th Feb 2018. Admit Card will be released from 7th Feb 2018.

AFCAT stands for the Air Force Common Admission Test, which is an entrance exam that is conducted by the Indian Air force. AFCAT I 2018 Eligibility Criteria :

To Apply for the AFCAT 1 2018 examination, the candidate must have to eligible as per the AFCAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria. All the interested candidates must fulfill the basic eligibility criteria prescribed by concerned examination authority to appear in AFCAT 2018 exam. Let’s have a look at educational qualification:-
Educational Qualification: Education qualification is based on the branch. Here, we have mentioned education qualification branch wise.
Flying Branch
  • Candidate must have a graduate in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or B.E/B. Tech with minimum 60% marks. OR
  • Candidates must have secured 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).
Ground Duty (Technical)
  • Candidates must have a graduation level degree in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level with minimum 60% marks. OR
  • A candidate must have completed 4 years graduation or integration Post graduation in Engineering/Technology OR
  • A candidate must obtain 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).
Ground Duty (Non-Technical)
  • Candidates must have graduation level degree any discipline with minimum 60% marks and obtain 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).
Age Limit: The required age limit is based on the branch. Here, we have mentioned age limit branch wise.
  • Flying Branch: Candidate age should be between 20 to 24 years as on 1st January 2019. Candidate should not be born earlier than 2nd January 1995 and not later than 1st January 1999.
  • Ground Duty (Technical): Candidate age should be between 20 to 26 years as on 1st January 2019. Candidate should not be born earlier than 2nd January 1993 and not later than 1st January 1999.
  • Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Candidate age should be between 20 to 26 years as on 1st January 2019. The candidate should not be born earlier than 2nd January 1993 and not later than 1st January 1999.
Note: The applicant must be mentally and physically fit because physically challenged persons are not eligible for AFCAT 2018 exam. For more details, please wait till AFCAT 2018 Notification declaration.

AFCAT Application Form 2018 :

The AFCAT Application Form 2018 and online registration has been started from 26th December 2017. The exact date of AFCAT 1 2018 Application Form has been released on the official notification. Now, all the eligible candidates can check AFCAT I 2018 Notification. After the release of an online form, candidates are advised to fill AFCAT 2018 Application form on or before the last date that is 23rd Jan 2018. Otherwise, their application form will be rejected. AFCAT 2018 Application Fee :

AFCAT 2018 Examination Fee is Rs. 250/-. Therefore candidates will have to pay Rs.250/- as application fee. Applicants who want to register for Meteorology entry and NCC Special entry, are exempted to pay the examination fee.

AFCAT Written Exam Pattern: The Written examination will carry all objective type questions and it is will be conducted via pen and paper mode (OMR sheets). There are 5 sections of General Awareness, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test. The exam will carry total 100 questions and each right answer will have weightage of 3 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer as negative marking.
EKT Exam Pattern: The Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) conducted to test engineering knowledge of candidates. The EKT is mandatory for candidates who have applied for Technical Ground Duty branch. This test will take place after the written examination of AFCAT 2018. It will carry total 50 questions and each write answer will have weigthage of 3 marks. 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer as negative marking.
Staff Selection Board (SSB) Interviews: After clearing the AFCAT 2018 written exam, candidates will have to face SSC interviews. It has 2 Stages:
  • Stage-I: Officer Intelligence Rating Test and Picture Perception and Discussion Test
  • Stage-II: Psychology Test, Written Exam, Group Test (Combination of Indoor and Outdoor Activities), and Interviews
Note: Only those candidates will be selected for SSB interview Second Stage round who will successfully clear the SSB Interview first stage.

AFCAT 2018 Selection Process :

  • AFCAT Exam has various stages for the selection procedure
  • Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of written exam and they will have to face Screening Test that is Stage-I Testing
  • The SSB Stage-I test will include Officer Intelligence Rating Test and Picture Perception and Discussion Test
  • Candidates who will qualify SSB Stage-I will be shortlisted for Stage-II test
  • The SSB Stage II test will include Psychological Test, Group Test for checking interactive ability, personal conversation with Interviewing Officer
  • Candidate who will qualify SSB/Interview will go through medical test
  • At the last, AFCAT 2018 Merit list will be prepared on the basis of written test and interview

AFCAT Admit Card 2018 :

As we know, the AFCAT I 2018 examination is going to be held on 25th February. Candidates who will successfully fill AFCAT 1 2018 Application Form will be able to download AFCAT 2018 Admit Card. The examination authority will release AFCAT 1 2018 Admit Card from 7th February 2018 on the official website. Candidates will be able to download AFCAT 2018 Call Letter by using their registration number and date of birth. Call letter / admit card is mandatory to carry because without it you will not get permission to appear in the examination.

AFCAT Cut Off 2018 :

AFCAT Cut-off Marks are the minimum marks which are required to qualify in this examination. AFCAT Cut-Off Marks 2018 will be released soon after the declaration of result. AFCAT Result 2018 :

Generally, the examination authority declares AFCAT Result after one or two months of examination. This year, the examination will be held on 25th February, so AFCAT 1 2018 Result is expected to be declared in March or April 2018 on the official website. Only those candidates will be shortlisted for the SSB round who will clear the written examination. Candidates will be able to check AFCAT Result 2018 via roll number and name.
