1) Painter and Padma Bhushan awardee Laxman Pai died at his residence in Goa. He was 95.
👉Laxman Pai was honoured with a number of prestigious awards, together with Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri, Nehru Award and Lalit Kala Akademi Award.
2) The United States overtook Saudi Arabia as India’s second biggest oil supplier last month.
👉Saudi Arabia, which has consistently been one of India’s top two suppliers, slipped to No. 4 for the first time since at least January 2006.
▪️ Recent News :- The United States has extended the “New START” nuclear disarmament treaty with Russia for a period of five years. The New START, which stands for Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, is a nuclear arms reduction treaty between the United States and the Russian Federation.
