1) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that Hoshangabad city in the state would be renamed as Narmadapuram and a proposal to that effect would be sent to the Centre.

4) The WTO's 164 members unanimously selected the 66-year-old Nigerian economist to serve a four-year term as the Director-General of the organisation. Her tenure is set to begin on March 1 2021.
👉Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala became the first female and first African to hold the role in its history. Her dual citizenship with the United States also makes her the first American to hold this position.

6) Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) will provide $400 million to Maldives to fund Greater Male Connectivity Project.
👉The 6.7 km Greater Male Connectivity Project (GMCP) will be the largest civilian infrastructure project in Maldives, connecting Male with three neighbouring islands — Villingili, Gulhifahu and Thilafushi.

8) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the 'Asom Mala' programme in Dhekiajuli of Sonitpur district with an aim to boost the state's road infrastructure and contribute to the state's economic progress and improve connectivity.

9) The 1st meeting of the Joint Working Group in the field of Renewable Energy between India and the Kingdom of Bahrain held in virtual format.
 ðŸ‘‰H.E. Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, President of Sustainable Energy Authority led the Bahraini delegation. The Indian delegation was led by H.E. Mr. Dinesh Dayanand Jagdale, Joint Secretary, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy. H.E. Sh. Piyush Srivastava, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain also participated in the meeting.

10) The closing ceremony of the joint military exercise between the Indian and U.S. Army, ‘Exercise Yudh Abhyas-20’ was held at Mahajan Field Firing Range.
👉This was the 16th edition of the joint exercise and it began on February 8. The aim of the exercise was to focus on counter terrorism operations under the mandate of the United Nations.
👉The India-US joint military exercise "Yudh Abhyas 20" commenced in Mahajan Field Firing Range of Bikaner district in Rajasthan.
