1) The Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari launched “Go Electric” campaign to spread awareness on the benefits of e-mobility and EV charging infrastructure as well as electric cooking in India.

👉Electric fuel is a major alternative for fossil fuels which have an import bill of Rs 8 lakh crore every year. When compared to conventional fuels the electric fuel has low cost, reduced emissions and it is also indigenous.

4) The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has recently unearthed an ancient temple dating back to the Hoysala era in Karnataka's Hassan district.
👉the ancient structure, which is presumably a Jain temple, with a grand platform carrying intricate carvings unique to the Hoysala era, was found at Shantinatha Basadi near Halebidu in Belur taluk.

10) A think-tank under the Department of Science and Technology (DST) has launched a job portal for mapping the skills of workers as per requirements of MSMEs and a seaweed cultivation mission.
👉The ''Saksham'' job portal launched by Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC),
will help eliminate middlemen, labour contractors as well as help in identification of skill proficiency level and development of skill cards for ''shramiks'' (workers).

11) The Gujarat government is setting up an Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) at Nasmed village in Gandhinagar district.
👉The state Labour and Employment department is setting up the institute in collaboration with the Tata Group on a not-for-profit PPP model.
